• Effective August 30, 2021, the four pay-per-view services on channel numbers 783, 784, 785, and 787 will no longer be available in Kotzebue and Nome.

 

June 2021

• As part of our continued transition to Yukon TV, on June 8, 2021, the channels listed below will only be available on your current TV service in standard definition (SD). HD feeds of these channels will be presented in SD.
• Your current TV package will be available on Yukon TV which will be launching early June.

May 2021

• KJNP (channel 4) in Fairbanks notified GCI that due to technical difficulties they will be off the air for an extended period of time. Once the station resolves the technical issues it will return to GCI TV.

December 2020

• On December 31, Music Choice will be changing the way they deliver content and its channels (801–850) will no longer be available in satellite-served locations. This change is not something that GCI has control over. 

October 2020

• The following update only applies to the markets listed here: Anchorage, Angoon, Eagle River-Chugiak, Eielson AFB, Fairbanks, Fort Greely, Fort Wainwright, Girdwood, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, North Pole, Palmer, Seward, Sitka, Soldotna, Valdez, Wasilla, Wrangell.
• We have heard from many of our customers that they would prefer a more modern, efficient streaming service for TV content and we are excited to announce the gradual replacement of our current GCI TV service with our new TV streaming service, Yukon TV! For current GCI TV customers, your current package is available on Yukon TV and you can switch to Yukon TV and get 60 days free! If you want to continue to access this content in HD, please explore Yukon TV or call GCI customer service at 800-800-4800 to make the switch today. • NSB School District (channel 14) in Fairbanks will cease operations effective September 1st.

August 2020

• CBS will move from channel 11 to channel 5 (656 HD) effective August 13 at the decision of the new network owner. This change takes effect in Anchorage, Utqiagvik, Bethel, Cordova, Girdwood, Homer, Kenai, Kodiak, Kotzebue, Mat-Su, Nome, and Seward. HD not available in all areas.
• MyNetwork TV (MTN) will move from channel 5 to channel 11 (649 HD) effective August 13 at the decision of the network owner. This change takes effect in Anchorage, Utqiagvik, Bethel, Cordova, Girdwood, Homer, Kenai, Kodiak, Kotzebue, Mat-Su, Nome, and Seward. HD not available in all areas.
• BET (channel 84) will no longer be available in Utqiagvik, Bethel, and Nome effective August 1 as BET is moving to a satellite that is not visible in these communities.
• Z Living (ch 142) will no longer be available in Cordova effective August 1 due to a delivery change by the Z Living network.

June 2020

• Havoc (channel 309) - will no longer be available in the Sports pack effective Sunday, June 7. Videos are available at http://www.havoc.tv/

March 2020

• NatGeo Wild (channel 114, 708 HD) is coming to Homer and Seward channel line-ups effective Monday, March 23rd.

April 2020

• ESPN Bases Loaded/Goal Line (channel 330) is ceasing operations effective April 30 and will no longer be part of the Sports package.
• Cheddar News (channel 70) - will no longer be available in GCI TV packages effective Thursday, April 30. News and videos are available at https://cheddar.com

February 2020

• JUCE (channel 127) is changing its name to Positiv TV effective immediately. The programming will continue to be inspirational, faith, and family-oriented movies and shows.

November 2019

• Effective 11/15/2019 Z Living (channel 142) will no longer be available in Cordova. Z Living is moving to a satellite that is not visible in the area. 

 October 2019

• Effective 10/31/2019 Music Choice Play (channel 800) will no longer be included in the Music Choice TV channel lineup. Residential customers can still access Music Choice Play through the Music Choice App via TiVo or any mobile device. 

September 2019

• Effective September 30th, iNDemand Pay-Per-View channels 780, 781, 782, 903 will no longer be available
• Effective September 1st KTUU is changing channel 92 from Justice Network to Heroes and Icons, which features classic TV shows like Rawhide, Nash Bridges, Star Trek, NYPD Blue, Batman, Hill Street Blues and more.

August 2019

• EVINE Live (channel 22) is changing to ShopHQ effective Wednesday, August 21st.
• For Bethel, Cordova, Kotzebue, Nome, and Utqiagvik effective Thursday, August 29th Hallmark Channel will only be available on channel 52 and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will only be available on channel 53 starting August 31, 2019. 

January 2019

• Z Living (channel 142; 738 HD) - Z Living has changed their plan and they will continue operations and be available on GCI TV packages.

November 2018

• Velocity (channel 632 - HD Package) is changing its name to Motor Trend Network on Friday, November 23. Tune in for all your favorite motor sports action.

July 2018

• C-SPAN3 (channel 90) - will launch on Friday, July 20th in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Fort Greely, Girdwood, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Mat-Su, Petersburg, Seward, Sitka, Valdez, and Wrangell. Tune in July 21st and 22nd to watch Alaska programming, filmed during the recent C-SPAN bus tour.
