GCI’s Pam Lloyd accepted into Betsy Magness Leadership Institute

Program empowers senior-level female leaders in the workplace

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Women in Cable Telecommunications announced this week that VP of GCI Government, Healthcare, and Education Pam Lloyd, Ph.D. has been accepted into the upcoming class of the organization’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.

Those selected for the class will participate in a yearlong educational program, incorporating direct feedback on their leadership styles, as well as guidance in developing a strategic vision for their teams and companies.

“It’s an honor to be selected to participate in the program and I’m looking forward to bringing back lessons learned through my work with the Institute, and continuing the success of GCI’s government, education and healthcare initiatives,” said Lloyd.

The Betsy Magness Leadership Institute is geared toward training women in senior-level positions.

The program focuses on core leadership and competencies, including communication effectiveness and organizational influence, driving and implementing change, creating engagement, driving results and executing organizational vision.

More than 850 woman have graduated from the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute was established in 1994. Maureen Moore, GCI’s chief customer experience officer, is a graduate of the program.
