GCI continues to deliver faster Internet speeds to rural Alaska. Residents of the town of Angoon now have access to the same plans currently available in Juneau, offering them faster connection speeds and saving them money.

“Customers in Angoon will notice a dramatic improvement in their Internet experience,” said Paul Landes, senior vice president, consumer services. “The Internet has become an important part of our daily lives, and we are excited about bringing these upgraded plans and speeds to the community of Angoon.”

The new plans start as low as $29.99 for 10 Mbps download speeds when packaged with GCI mobile service.

At no additional cost, customers who were on the 4 Mbps plan with 60,000 MB of included usage will now pay the same monthly price for a 22 Mbps plan with 200,000 MB of included usage. “Our customers will now get more than five times the speed at the same price,” said Landes.
