GCI will air ASAA March Madness 2016 State Basketball Championship games live statewide on GCI Channel 1

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – As part of GCI’s sponsorship of the Alaska Schools Activities Association (ASAA) March Madness 2016 Basketball State Championship, the company will air championship games live on GCI Channel 1 SD/Channel 999 HD, extend store hours at its UAA location as well as hold giveaways and contests for fans. ASAA March Madness will be held in Anchorage at the Alaska Airlines Center March 16-26, 2016.

 GCI will continue its annual tradition of broadcasting ASAA championship games for all divisions on GCI Channel 1, available across Alaska, as well as in HD on Channel 999 in select markets. High school basketball fans will be able to catch all the action even if they cannot make it to Anchorage to cheer for their team in person.  Additionally, attendees can visit the Alaska Airlines Center GCI store during the extended hours from 9 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., on March 16-19 during the 1A/2A tournament and March 24-26 during the 3A/4A tournament.

 Tickets are available for purchase at the Alaska Airlines Center box office or online. Single-session ticket prices range from $10-$15 for adults, with discounted prices for students in 7th-12th grade and free admission for children in 6th grade or below. Those wanting to catch extra excitement can purchase an ASAA March Madness Alaska punch card with six or 10 punch card options and have the opportunity to skip the ticket line.
