A fiber repair vessel departed Port Angeles, Washington over the weekend and is enroute to the fault location near Chignik Bay. The 7-14 day timeline for the vessel to arrive on site and complete repairs remains on track. Internet service is operating at a limited level in all impacted communities as we manage network capacity using backup satellite systems. Wireless calling, texting, and limited mobile data are also available in all impacted communities, including Akutan, Chignik Bay, False Pass, King Cove, Perryville, and Unalaska. Technical teams continue to closely monitor the network and improve service where possible until permanent repairs are complete.
