Normal service levels have been restored in Chignik Bay, Chignik Lagoon, and Chignik Lake. Wireless calling, texting, and limited mobile data are also available in the affected communities, including Akutan, False Pass, King Cove, Perryville, and Unalaska. Internet service in these communities remains available at a limited level as we manage network capacity using backup satellite systems. The remaining repair work has paused near Chignik Bay due to inclement weather in the area, delaying full restoration beyond the initial projected timeline. Work will resume as conditions allow.
