Prioritizing education for every student
Since our founding in 1979, GCI has invested and reinvested in the network that connects students and educators across Alaska. And we've championed E-Rate since 1997 — because every student deserves a great connection.
We know E-Rate, BAG, and more
Our experts work closely with district leaders to guarantee AK’s schools get the funding they need to stay connected.
We proudly partner with Alaska’s leading education organizations
Strong partnerships develop stronger outcomes. Here are just a few of the organizations we collaborate with to extend more opportunities to teachers and students across the state.
Expanding educational opportunities across Alaska
We are proud to lead the way in connecting rural communities to modern education opportunities via our connectivity solutions. Our microwave networks and fiber infrastructure projects bring more promise and potential to the remote corners of our state. And we also have forged partnerships that allow us to leverage the best available technology — whether on our network or another carrier’s solution. In short, we are always looking out for the next generation of AK students.

We build the infrastructure Alaska’s educators count on
A dropped connection can mean a missed lesson, a lost afternoon, a lost student. GCI's reliable broadband and distance-learning infrastructure keep rural Alaska classrooms running — with dedicated support to back it up.
GCI covers more of Alaska than any other provider — from urban centers to the state's most remote corners.
